North Bend is a city in King County, in the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue metro area.

The community was named for a bend in the Snoqualmie River.

The latitude of North Bend is 47.495N. The longitude is -121.785W.

North Bend is in the Snoqualmie Valley, at the base of Mount Si.
Former and merged names include:
· Snoqualmie
· Mountain View
The community was founded in 1889, when the railroad arrived, by William Taylor.

The community's initial name, Snoqualmie, was too similar to that of a town downstream, Snoqualmie Falls. So the name was changed to North Bend.

Crime: The number of violent crimes recorded by the FBI in 2003 was 15. The number of murders and homicides was 0. The violent crime rate was 3.2 per 1,000 people.
