Fuller Park is a neighborhood of Chicago
The community takes its name from Fuller Park, which was named after Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Melville W. Fuller.
The neighborhood is The community is on the south side of Chicago, five miles from the Loop.
Bounded by Pershing Road, Garfield Boulevard, the Dan Ryan Expressway and the Rock Island Railroad.
The Dan Ryan Expressway, constructed in the 1950s, divided the community and displaced significant numbers of residents.
Since the middle of the 20th century the community has experienced large losses of jobs and population, though various attempts at reviving the neighborhood have been made since the 1990s.
