Wedgwood is a neighborhood of Seattle
The neighborhood is in North Seattle.
The community is bounded by 95th St., 45th Ave., 75th St., and 25th Ave.
The area was largely used for farming until the middle of the 20th century.
In 1941, due to the area's role in the military build-up and a subsequent housing shortage, Albert Bach and Maury Seitzer began the process of developing Wedgwood into a residential neighborhood.
The neighborhood is home to Wedgwood Rock - also known as "The Rock - a remnant of the last ice age with no peer in Seattle.
